Thirty Kills, Fourteen Blocks: Andi Jackson Named Big Ten Player of the Week

Husker fans, your senior middle just had the best week in the Big Ten.

Andi Jackson was named Big Ten Player of the Week on Monday, the conference office announced. It’s the second of her career, and Nebraska’s second this season after Manaia Ogbechie earned it on Sept. 13. That’s two middle blockers, two honors, in the first month.

The week

Jackson led the top-ranked Huskers to a 3-0 week against Missouri, Rutgers and Ohio State. Across the three matches she had 30 kills on .578 hitting and 14 blocks, which works out to 3.33 kills and 1.56 blocks a set.

The defense around her held opponents to a .048 hitting percentage. Yes, for the whole week.
