Nebraska Volleyball Sweeps UCLA: 20 and 0 and 51 Straight

20 and 0. 51 straight regular season wins.
Nebraska volleyball swept UCLA 25 to 19, 25 to 11, 25 to 16 Thursday night at John Cook Arena at the Bob Devaney Sports Center. The No. 1 Huskers needed only three sets.
The Bruins could not find the floor
Nebraska hit .380. UCLA hit .036.
That gap was the whole night. The Bruins finished with 25 kills and 21 attack errors, and in the second set they had more errors than kills (10 to 8). Nebraska outblocked them 9 to 4 and out dug them 48 to 36 in front of 10,497 fans.
It is the 10th time in program history Nebraska has opened a season 20 and 0. The 51 match regular season streak ranks second all time in program history in the NCAA era. And the Huskers have now won 62 straight regular season home matches, 60 of them at John Cook Arena.
Andi Jackson owned the net
Andi Jackson led Nebraska with 11 kills on .625 hitting, plus six blocks and three digs. It is the 36th match of her career with at least 10 kills. In the second set alone she had five kills without an error and a hand in all four Husker blocks, and she put the match away with her 11th kill.
Virginia Adriano added 10 kills on .333 hitting. Harper Murray had nine kills, five digs and three blocks, and Teraya Sigler put down eight kills on .471 with five digs. Manaia Ogbechie chipped in four kills and three blocks.
Bergen Reilly ran it all with 39 assists, 10 digs, four blocks and three kills, her 48th career double double. Laney Choboy dug 13 balls and Olivia Mauch had 10.
How it went
UCLA made Nebraska work early. The Bruins led 9 to 6 and 10 to 7 in the first set before Sigler went to the service line and the Huskers ran off four straight to go up 11 to 10. A Murray and Jackson block capped another three point burst, and Nebraska never trailed again. Adriano scored three of the last five points to close it 25 to 19.
The second set was a runaway. Mauch served four straight points, Choboy served five more during a 6 to 0 run that made it 11 to 3, and Murray finished it 25 to 11 with an ace.
Nebraska led the third from the first point to the last. Back to back blocks from Reilly and Ogbechie made it 10 to 3, Kenna Cogill came off the bench for two kills to bring up match point, and Jackson ended it.
